Westerly School is the area's only independent, non-sectarian, co-educational kindergarten-through-eighth-grade school. Founded in 1991 by a team of committed parents, Westerly opened its doors in 1993 for grades Kindergarten through fifth, adding the middle grades through grade eight in the years that followed. Westerly offers the support of a close, family-like environment; the stimulation of a diverse and eager student population; and the challenge of a rich and engaging academic curriculum--all guided by an insightful Board of Trustees, which maintains the vision of the school's strong and enlightened Mission and Philosophy.
