Thank you for your interest in Westerly School. We are pleased that you would like to learn more about us. Founded in 1993, Westerly is an independent, nonprofit, co-educational school which strives to develop each child’s full potential intellectually, emotionally, morally and physically.  Founded by twelve local families who desired a school where creativity and independent thinking were encouraged and a diverse community of students flourished, Westerly is an embodiment of their vision.

Westerly offers an outstanding, challenging academic program within a nurturing environment.  We are seeking families who understand the benefits of an independent school education where what students learn in music, art or on the playground are as important as their classroom instruction.  We consider a number of factors in our admission process when considering a prospective student including, prior school records, testing and assessment data, teacher recommendations, and a personal interview.  We believe that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision and we encourage you to attend one of our open houses or call or email the Admission Office to arrange for a personal tour. We welcome the opportunity for you to see first-hand what the Westerly School community is all about.
